A Detailed 8 Day Tanzania Great Migration Safari
Day 1: Arusha
Your guide will meet you at Kilimanjaro (or Arusha) International Airport and transport you to your accommodation in Arusha for your overnight stay. You may choose for a city tour of Arusha with our guide (free charge). Sleep tight and get ready for your safari tomorrow!
Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
This morning you will be picked up from the resort early in the morning for a magnificent ride to Tarangire National Park. A packaged lunch will be taken to munch en route.
Tarangire is renowned for its vast elephant herds and varied topography, which includes seasonal marshes and savannah plains. We might have the experience of watching a lion stalk her prey or leopards relaxing in the trees above. After the game drive you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
Day 3: Central Serengeti Park
After breakfast, you will go into the center Serengeti for a wildlife drive. You will have lunch inside the park and continue your game drive into the afternoon before arriving at your camp.
The Serengeti is famous for its large migrating herds of zebra, antelope and wildebeest. Get ready to see resident predators like the leopard, cheetah and lion in action, doing their bit for the circle of life!
Day 4: Serengeti North with Great Migration
Early breakfast and drive to the Northern Serengeti and the Mara River to witness the Great Migration. Our safari guide will find the finest place.
The Great Migration is the greatest movement of wildebeests, zebras and other animals that cross the Mara River into the Masai Mara in Kenya. The best time to visit is between July and early October each year.
Day 5: Serengeti North with Great Migration & Central Serengeti
Get up early for breakfast and continue with your game drive to observe the Great Migration Later we will drive back to the center part of the park for our overnight stay.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast we will head to Ngorongoro Crater for another wildlife drive with lunch boxes.
This park features the world’s largest, unbroken caldera and one of Africa’s natural wonders. Close to 30,000 huge mammals including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs and rhinos call this home all year round. The crater is home to a vast array of bird species.
Day 7: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast you will leave for Lake Manyara with your packed lunch. After our game drive here you will be transferred to Arusha for your overnight stay.
Lake Manyara is known for its tree-climbing lions that take shelter in the branches of trees and the many colonies of baboons that inhabit the forest. The baboons will accompany you the whole way along the road, from the moment you enter the park!
Day 8: Arusha
After breakfast you will relax at the lodge and if time allows have a brief excursion downtown Arusha for some shopping. You will then be transferred to the airport to end your adventure.
