A Detailed Great Migration And Zanzibar Beach Holiday

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Karatu

Our safari guide will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport and transport you to your hotel in Karatu. Here you chill out for the rest of the day and overnight. If time permits, you will then have a city tour with our safari guide free of charge.

Day 2: Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will leave for the Central Serengeti for a game drive. You will have a lunch in a suitable place inside the park. In the afternoon we will continue with the game drive activity and will arrive at the camp.

The Serengeti is famous for its great migrations of zebra, antelope and wildebeest. Be prepared to observe resident predators such as leopards, cheetahs and lions play their part in the wheel of life.

Day 3: Serengeti North and the Great Annual Migration

Get up early, have breakfast, and then drive to the Northern Serengeti around the Mara River where the annual migration takes place. Our safari guide will lead you to the ideal spot for seeing this event.

The Great Migration is the biggest wildebeest, zebra and other animal herd movement as they cross the Mara River to Masai Mara in Kenya. The migration is a wonderful occurrence as animals migrate over a river full of crocodiles. The best time to go is any time between July and early October each year.

Day 4: Northern and Central Serengeti

Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and proceed to continue with a wildlife drive in northern Serengeti keeping an eye on the events of the Great Migration. Later in the afternoon we drive back to Central Serengeti and stop and have our overnight stay.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a game drive inside Ngorongoro Crater with Lunch boxes.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the home of the world’s biggest unbroken caldera and is one of the natural marvels of Africa. Here there are over 30 000 huge creatures living all year round including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs and rhinos and a vast array of birds like flamingos, eagles and buzzards. So get ready to witness many creatures here in a short period.

Day 6: Karatu to Arusha Airport to Zanzibar

After breakfast, relax at the lodge. If time permits, take a short tour of Karatu town for shopping. You will be taken to Arusha airport for your journey to Zanzibar from Karatu. Your driver in Zanzibar will be waiting for you at Zanzibar airport for the exclusive transfer to your beach resort.

Day 7-9: Relaxing on Zanzibar Beach

The next days are free for you to relax at the beach and the resort. So take your time and enjoy your rest and the beautiful view.

Enjoy stunning sunsets on Zanzibar’s greatest beaches with palm fringed sands, blue waters and colourful coral reefs.

Day 10: Transfer to Zanzibar Airport

Enjoy the last few hours before your departure from the resort and transfer to Zanzibar airport. Sadly, here is where our service comes to an end.

On the way back to Zanzibar Airport you can stop at Stone Town and buy souvenirs and other memorabilia.
